Danielle MacDonald, Principal

At the helm of MAC4 is Danielle MacDonald, Principal. With more than 20 years of communications experience in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, high tech, higher education and business, Danielle is well versed in the areas of employee communications, Web development, public relations, and presentation development. Danielle's project and vendor management abilities complement her experience.
Danielle currently provides internal communications support to AstraZeneca's Clinical Development function where she sits on two strategic internal teams. She works closely in a consultative role with internal Clinical Development decision makers and external partners promoting and communicating the External Provider Management Team model to employees and managers. Danielle also manages and executes communications activities for the Clinical Capacity Management Process. Her many years of experience as a writer, editor and project manager have served her well in this role at AZ.
As a Senior HR Communications consultant for SAP North America and SAP AG, Danielle spent five years as a consultant supporting the Recruiting and Staffing, Organization and Talent Management, and Compensation and Benefits functions within SAP North America . In early 2004, Danielle accepted an assignment working for SAP AG as the Communications work package owner for the global launch of SAP's first company-wide Performance Management (PM) process and tool. To date, she continues to support the global PM process and additional global Talent Management projects as needed.
Prior to joining SAP North America, Danielle held several positions, including Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Montgomery Hospital Medical Center , Director of Public Relations for Gwynedd-Mercy College , and Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communications for NovaCare, Inc. She also served as Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the Mercy Health System at Haverford Hospital , and as Director of Marketing and Membership Services for the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.
Today, Danielle continues to provide communications expertise, counsel and support to AstraZeneca, and to SAP in addition to the GBSC, LLC (a Johnson & Johnson company) and a number of other national and global organizations.
Danielle earned her bachelor's degree in Journalism in 1989 from Temple University . She also retains a certificate in management from Villanova University . Danielle is a certified English tutor, a sixth grade Catechist, a Regan Communications Select member, a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and a member of E-Women's Network, where she serves on the network's King of Prussia Leadership Council.
Jill Fazzini, Communications
Specialist
Jill Fazzini has been performing public relations
and communications work for more than six years. She
worked as a publicist for Stackig Advertising and
Public Relations, primarily serving seasoned and start
up technology companies in the Delaware Valley and
DC Metro areas in obtaining positive media coverage,
trade show appearances, and editorial placement in
industry publications.
She then returned to her alma mater, Gwynedd-Mercy
College, as the communications specialist in the Office
of Public Relations and Marketing. In this role, Jill
was solely responsible for the maintenance and development
of the college’s Website. She also served as
the primary media contact for the college, and wrote
and edited the majority of the college’s publications,
including the alumni magazine and various admissions
pieces.
As an independent communications consultant, Jill
has worked in a variety of industries, including higher
education, business, insurance, entertainment and
the arts.
A creative writer at heart, Jill has won awards for
her prose and poetry. For more than eight years, she
has been co-editor of The Griffin, a professionally
published literary journal that receives submissions
from all over the world.
In addition to writing, Jill exercises her creativity
through dance, which she has been doing all her life,
and choreographs for local community theater, where
she also acts. She earned a bachelor’s degree
in English with a concentration in communications
from Gwynedd-Mercy College.
Liz Smith, Contributing Writer
Liz Smith brings her multi-faceted knowledge of the marketing and advertising arenas to MAC4 Communications. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Liz started her career in commercial production. She then moved into account management, and then on to strategic planning and new business development at advertising agencies in both New York and Chicago. Liz has been freelance writing for MAC4 for two years and counting.
Nowadays Liz resides in the London area, and tries to travel as often as possible. In addition to working as a corporate communications specialist, she is working on writing her first novel.
